Think Engineering is an annual networking event that enables companies to connect, guide, and shape the best engineering students in Greater Vancouver. The aim of the event is to allow companies to personally connect with engineering students, while encouraging students to develop their networking skills.
The fifth annual Think Engineering conference will be held at The Reniassance Hotel, Vancouver on the evening of January 27, 2012. The expected turnout is 300+ attendees that includes students, industry and academia representatives; a 25% increase from the previous year. The night will include speeches from industry representatives, opportunities to network and a delicious 3-course dinner.
- As the largest IEEE student branch in Canada, UBC will be co-hosting the event with the ECESS and the student branches from SFU and BCIT to bring you the best of all three universities.
- Panel comprised of professionals with a variety of backgrounds and experiences will engage in an open discussion on the conference topics.
- Keynote speeches will be given by corporate leaders, successful entrepreneurs, or established researchers. Topics are non-technical and focus on inspirational success stories or valuable advice based on the speaker’s personal experience.
- Communication and interaction between students and company representatives to build professional relationships and gain career insight.
